My Hospital Buddy Ida is an AR application paired with a CBT-based workbook designed to support a psychotherapy program for children. The workbook, which consists of 12 CBT-oriented chapters, includes psychoeducational content, exercises, and homework. Each chapter activates Ida's animations through image-based triggers.

When an animation is triggered by an image, Ida appears on the workbook, shares her hospital experiences, and demonstrates relevant psychosocial skills, such as breathing exercises. This interaction not only educates but also provides emotional support, helping to reduce children’s anxiety and feelings of isolation by offering a sense of companionship. The application can be adapted to various psychological and physiological conditions by customizing the content and character to address different needs.

In this project, I collaborated with Koç University’s KARMA Lab, working alongside a team of designers and psychologists. I served as the sole developer for the project.
